Daniel Wakim is a criminal defence lawyer with heart. He is a strong believer in human rights and dignity for the individual, he had been described by clients and foes alike as fearsome advocate.

Daniel admitted as a lawyer in 2012 before the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia. In 2018, he admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor before the High Court of New Zealand.

Daniel is currently Special Counsel to many law firms and has successfully assisted his corporate clients establish the own criminal law divisions and practices. Daniel has worked with and consulted various government agencies and corporate entities with respect to criminal matters of the highest degree of sensitivity and seriousness both nationally and abroad.

Living by his legal oath of honour and integrity, Daniel is trusted and provides his clients with the calming sense of security and safety throughout the course of their criminal litigation.

Daniel has legally represented several high-profile criminal cases across Australia’s highest jurisdictions including, the High Court of Australia and Supreme Court in multiple states. He has appeared before court and successfully defended clients in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and Tasmania. His practice also extends internationally having appeared in the Supreme Court of New Zealand.

His experience as a Principal Defence Lawyer and Special Counsel have given him strategic and tactical skills to advise across multiple areas of law and complex legal matters. Daniel has trained and mentored many lawyers as Special Counsel and guided them through to become extremely competent practitioners and experts.

Daniel has appeared before and legally consulted upon unique and highly sensitive areas of criminal law, including the Independent Commission Against Corruption, the Royal Commission, Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission, New South Wales Crime Commission and various international intelligence agencies.
